Antique wooden knitting aid. The knitting aid was placed in a pocket or belt on the right side of the knitter (star), the knitting needle was inserted into the narrow part. The knitting aids were often treasured pieces because they were often made as a home craft and the maker often gave them their own touch by adding decorations. Each region often had its own patterns and shapes. This beautiful wooden example is in good condition

Beautiful blue metal tube containing different sizes of knitting needles that are stored in separate sections. The needles can be removed by size by turning the cap on top. There are still 14 needles in the tube. made by Jahncke, London and as a description on the tube it says mitrailleuse knitting case
