The ladies used to do a lot of needlework and then had a basket full of all kinds of things to do this. This is also the case with this measuring tape, which is incorporated in a celluloid basket with flowers. The ribbon no longer rolls up smoothly.
Beautiful mother-of-pearl Victorian shell box with copper rim and closure. A thimble was kept in the shell. The shell is in good condition and dates from around 1890
Nice vintage metal pin cushion in the shape of a ladies shoe. On the toe of the shoe the initials E.T and in the shoe the worn velvet cushion where the pins could be pinned.
Still in the original box a wooden sock stop aid. The wooden disc was placed in the sock, with the spring being stretched around it, so that the sock could easily be stopped with the supplied tool.
